There are many immune system boosting herbs. Some of them are more famous or common and are probably already in your kitchen. These herbs are great for making your own home-made herbal remedy for detoxification, parasite cleansing or to help you lose weight as reported at Low Fat Slimming Diet.
The herbs mentioned here are only some among many that have antimicrobial, antiviral, and anti parasitic benefits. Before consuming them, please note that herbs have different effects for each individual. Be sure to consult a health care professional if you want to take these herbs during pregnancy, breast feeding or while on medication.
This video from Magnetic Mama talks about four simple herbs to boost your immune system:
Clove. These herbs boost your immune system and kill parasites during the larva stage. You can take these herbs in the form of clove bud oil that is an essential oil. The oil can be used as home-made mouth wash due to its anti-microbial properties. Simply put a few drops of clove bud oil in a table spoon of water to make the mouthwash. Clove can also be taken in the form of powder, or spice in your food, or in a smoothie recipe.
Ginger. Many people like the ginger taste because it is warm and spicy. It’s good to add to juices or blend in with other fruits or vegetables in a smoothie. Ginger tea is a famous drink made in many homes in many cultures. You can also take ginger in capsule form.
Garlic. Garlic is a staple herb in many homes and often used for spicy foods. Garlic is best taken raw for its therapeutic effects. Other ways to serve garlic is to pickle it or ferment it. Garlic is also available in capsule or powder form.
Cayenne pepper. Cayenne pepper is one herb I often add to my green smoothies. This pepper is often sold in powder form. You can make a tonic by putting Cayenne pepper into lemon juice or lemon infused water. The effect is you get a warm and fresh feeling that makes you sweat and detoxifies your body.
These herbs are best taken together with other foods to make them tastier and more appealing for your taste buds. They have the benefit of boosting your immune system and killing harmful parasites in your body. It’s good for children to eat rather than chemical-based supplements because there are commonly no side effects of these herbs (but check your reaction to make sure). If you feel that your body is weak or not feeling well, turn to these immune system boosting herbs and drink enough water to be healthy.
